Are You Sick, Fat & Tired – But Don’t Know It?

Are You Sick, Fat & Tired - But Not Know It?

“Sometimes our solutions, especially if it’s our health, are not inside our box, they’re outside.”

Dr Pat Boulogne

Firstly – can everyone check their posture and sit up straight. Good posture can take at least 5-10 years off how you appear to other people.

The second thing is to understand that the definition of health is not merely the absence of disease or infirmities. Just because you are not sick, fat and tired does not mean something is not rolling underneath. Health is more than being sick; it encompasses the balance of five pillars:

  •   Diet Nutrition
  •   Exercise
  •   Proper Sleep
  •   Positive Mental Attitude
  •   Properly Functioning Nervous System

When one of the pillars is off balance it is going to eventually affect the other.

Dr Pat Boulogne has spent the last 35+ years helping people to stop adapting their lifestyle to pain and chronic problems by combining a holistic view with an individualised approach. As the Founder and Principal of Ask Dr. Pat Health Team Network, Dr Pat uses her knowledge as a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner and Chiropractor, with a Masters in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture, to find out the why and cause of a problem. This assists her in identifying a starting point.

Through her extensive experience, Dr Pat has seen western medicine practitioners prescribe treatment for signs and symptoms as they do not have the ‘tool-box’ required to look at the reason why somebody is suffering. She understands that sometimes our solutions, especially if it involves our health, are not inside our box, they are outside. So, she begins by looking at what the end result is for somebody, then designs programs that are very, very specific and individualised. Her patients get to their end goal faster and with more tangible results.

The single biggest action people have control over is choosing what they put in their mouth to nurture themselves. The source of most chronic illness and disease is inflammation and the biggest foods that cause inflammation are GMO foods or sugar. By consuming the correct food combinations and concentrating on gut health, which is also known as Mastering The Zone, it is possible to reverse diseases such as type 2 diabetes and control high blood pressure.

Heart disease is directly related to diabetes and it is estimated that 40% of the people who have diabetes will more than likely have Alzheimer’s. Do you have a genetic pool for heart disease in your family? If you do and you eat the same foods that got your parents in that same place, or your grandparents in that same place, then it is more than likely that you will have it.

Taking these (and other considerations) into account and piecing them together correctly is an important component of Dr Pat’s work.

The 6th Chiropractic Principal is that there is no process which does not require time, which is true for a healthy process. Dr Pat is focused on going from Point A to Point C in the shortest period and she does this by using a system’s approach and questionnaire to find out what the individuals weakest link is.

The first question she asks people in her interview process is, “how has your health been in the last two years?”

The second question is, “if you knew what to do to be healthy, would you do it?”

You can take action and address that mindset today by clicking here and heading over to The Culture of Leadership (TCoT) Podcast. Take the opportunity to listen to Dr Pat explain how you can manage your health and live a long and happy life performing at your best, all while ageing gracefully.

By the way, just out of curiosity, are you still sitting up straight…?
